Hi
My girlfriends daughters ASUS XHA (Aussie model) was asking for the bitlocker key, which of course they didn't have, they also don't have any recovery media for it :(
I'm needing to reinstall the OS, but I couldn't get it to install anything other than Ubuntu - which is not an option.
Any chance someone out there is able to share recovery media for this? From the ASUS site it looks like it's a Windows 10 device.
TIA
Just download a windows 10 ISO and give it the OEM licence key.

Thanks for that, for some reason it just hadn't occurred to me :-D
Just curious about the situation. On the specs I looked at on that laptop, it only has a 32 GB eMMC SSD and this is not so good at running Windows I suspect that on updates, etc, it "jams" and that may be the cause of problems your Girlfriend's Daughter has had. Whilst you say, "I couldn't get it to install anything other than Ubuntu - which is not an option" that may well be a better long term solution since Linux (and it need not be Ubuntu) will happily run on that 32 GB SSD.

Windows 10 will technically run on 16GB, Microsoft used to give licenses away to tablets that had 16GB or 32GB or storage, this has since been bumped to exclude 16GB models, but they are able to do so by compacting the OS.
They are still very limited, but as a Facebook, email and internet machine, space should not be an issue, and this was likely the case here or budget and the user was not aware there would later be issues and price swayed them to purchase.
