Stephen the levite to die is gain album download

So I was watching this video of some brothas in the Faith sharing and discussing their top 3 Christian Hip-Hop albums…rushbrookrathbone.co.uk I really wished I was there to chime in….I have 3…rushbrookrathbone.co.uk if I was there this would be my top four Christian Hip-Hop albums OF ALL TIME!!!

4. TIE!!!!! Timothy Brindle - The Great Awakening/Shai Linne - The Solus Christus Project

The Great Awakening and the Solus Christus both eloquently rapped the scripture intelligently yet people in the hood could understand it well and follow along. Both of these albums had the uncut and raw underground organic sound. YES! Nothing was commercial about it. Both of these albums expressed the realness of Jesus and the Wrath of God on His enemies. And they made it very easy to relate to them in the midst of suffering and trials. The Gospel was clear, the illustrations were vivid, and these artists’ love for Jesus was clearly expressed through their lyrics.

3. Stephen the Levite - To Die is Gain

Stephen the Levite (mind if I say) went IN on this album, here’s why… Most or all of the tracks pretty much was the Bible in Rap form. It wasn’t your typical “I’m a sinner, you’re a sinner and we both need Jesus” rap music. I’m not knocking that but what “To Die is Gain” did was go deeper into God’s Word in ways most Christian Hip-Hop albums can’t today. That may be a bold statement, but I feel like it’s true. In Christian Hip-Hop today, there’s a strong focus on cultural relevance, but lacks Christo-centrism. On every track on this album from beginning to end, a picture of scriptures were being painted and Stephen [the Levite] poured out his heart about how Christ poured out his life for us.

2. Hazakim - Theophanies

Theopanies was absolutely the MOST ANTICIPATED album, I believe, of all time. And man, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! These brothas presented Jesus from the other side of the spectrum, meaning, from the Jewish stand-point. This CD was very unique and completely set apart from general Christian Hip-Hop. Where most Christian Hip-Hop spend their time in the New Testament (which is cool), these guys surprised the world by basically expositorically (that’s my word) coming from the Old Testament. Where most people (me being one of them) have a hard time trying to explain where Christ is previewed in the OT, Hazakim came out like “BAM! Here it is…” Amen!!!

1. TIE!!! The Cross Movement - House of Representatives / Shai Linne - Storiez

OMG! House of Reps is the only album that takes me “there”….Like when I listen to this album I just get this feeling of being taken on a spiritual journey. Ah, this album had such a rich dark sound to it but it was just so theologically/practically sound. Throughout the whole time, I didn’t know where I was going but when I arrived, I’m like, “I’m here! Thank you Jesus!”

Storiez was that album that gives me that OMG feeling every time I listen to it. Me being an animator, I envision this whole album as a feature film….that I want to animate. AH! This album hits every single nerve in your body and it invokes every single feeling and expression you could ever feel and express.

So this is my top 4 (well actually 6) Christian Hip-Hop albums of all time. All of these albums in my opinion had every element of a hip-hop album on LOCK! From production to what’s most important, lyrical content, these albums do it for me. These albums set the standard for me when it comes to qualifying for a superb Hip-Hop/Christian Hip-Hop album.
