You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while downloading zip files using Chrome. I certainly appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue by changing the registry settings.

For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

1. Have you tried using any other browser to download the zip file?

2. Is the issue specific to one zip file or all the files?

3. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?

4. Do you have any antivirus software installed on the PC?

One of the things you can try is using any other browser and see if you are able to download the file.

You can also try changing the settings for launching applications/files that are unsafe.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.

2. In Run dialog box, type rushbrookrathbone.co.uk and hit Enter.

3. In the Internet Properties window, click the Security tab, click the Ineternet zone (globe icon), and then click the Custom level button.

4. In the Security Settings window, scroll down to Downloads > File download.

5. Click to select Enable.

6. Scroll down the list further to Miscellaneous > Launching applications and unsafe files.

7. Click to select Prompt (recommended).

8. Click OK.

In addition, if you have any security software installed you can try disabling it temporarily and see if you are able to download the file. In case, you don’t have any third party antivirus program installed then you can try disabling Windows Defender and see if you are able to download the file.

Note: If you disable the security software or firewall, the system might be temporarily exposed to security threats and risks. Please make sure to turn it on after troubleshooting.
