Actually I don't think this is an Excel problem. Excel appears to be working fine, Edge appears to be f'up'ing.

Sure send a feedback to the Excel developers, but you should also send a feedback to Edge. In Edge, click on the "" (elipsis) icon on the far right end of the ribbon. Select "Help and Feedback" then "Send Feedback".

In both feedbacks you can include a link to this question since you describe the full problem here.

Sorry V. but which "Yes" do you refer to? The only options in MS Edge during download are: Open, Save (Save as), Cancel. Hitting Open stil saves the file as XLSX and Excel can't open it as it becomes corrupt. Also most people will hit the Save button as they want the file on their drive (and in a known location), so will not use the Open option.

I'm glad that you came to the same conclusion as me.

Is there another way to submit feedback for MS Edge please? The above doesn't work for me as I've disabled MS Store completely and upon clicking the send feedback option I get a pop-up message that says I will need an app but nothing is listed and that is a dead end unfortunately.
