Moving out of the city? Soak up some countryside with our favourite Hertfordshire attractions
27 September 2020

Renting Prices in London have fallen by up to 20% as mass departures from major cities due to coronavirus changes take place.  Demand has dropped in city-based dwellings by up to 23% nationwide as renters make the change from city-life and “convenient for travel for work” properties to properties with “gardens and open space” in the suburbs and countryside.  This greater demand in the Home Counties and beyond, has made Hertfordshire one of the top places to live – especially in a post-COVID world. So we thought we'd take a look at some of our favourite Hertfordshire attractions and places to visit - all socially distanced, of course!

For open air Shopping:

Hitchin Markets

One of our favourite Hertfordshire attractions is the Hitchin Market. The market is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays offering delicious fresh food, produce and general market offerings.  The Craft and Farmer’s Market is on every last Saturday of the month and Fridays boast stalls with vintage pieces, antiques and collectibles.

For a Walk:

The Greenway:

The Greenway offers a lovely ramble through the Autumn leaves making it another of our top Hertforshire attractions.  Linking several popular visiting areas, including Wymondley Wood, which include picnic areas and play areas for kids, The Greenway enjoys delightful walks and great natural spots for wildlife.  Bikes, scooters and pets welcome – just make sure you give space for social distancing.
